School Board Updates form (previously Appendix 1 & 2)

Note: This form is replacing the Appendix 1 and Appendix 2 form that was previously hosted by the Ministry of Education and NZSBA.

Returning Officers complete this form following your school's elections.

Board Secretaries ensure this form reflects any changes that your board undergoes outside of the elections period (e.g. someone leaves the board or a new board member is co-opted).

Please complete the form if any of the following apply to your school:

  • If you have had a parent, staff or student election (including by-elections). If you've had an election the returning officer will need to provide candidate information and election results (including candidate names and voting numbers).

  • If you have a new board member taking office outside of an election. E.g co-option, selection or a change in Principal or Presiding member. The Ministry of Education and Te Whakarōputanga Kaitiaki Kura o Aotearoa need to be made aware when you have a new board member to ensure our records are up to date. It would be ideal for the board secretary to do this.

  • If you have a member leaving your School Board.  The Ministry of Education and Te Whakarōputanga Kaitiaki Kura o Aotearoa need to be made aware when a member is leaving so we can update this in our systems and ensure our records are up to date. It would be ideal for the board secretary to do this.
